Charlie was posting pics of them hanging out a lot on his Instagram in 2015, and people thought they'd split in early 2016. (He said in an interview with The Sun, "I'm single," mentioned his last GF using him to climb the social ladder and erased all of her pics off of his social media.)
But then they starred side-by-side in a STEAMY music video for Charlie's song, "Suffer," in February 2016. So, basically, no one knew what really happened between them.

Charlie and Selena Gomez posted a few cute selfies on Instagram, along with a vid of them singing together. It seemed to be couple's paradise for the "Some Type of Love" singer and the Wizards of Waverly Place alum, until some major D-R-A-M-A went down!
When asked why Sel wasn't in the "We Don't Talk Anymore" music video, Charlie responded on Twitter saying, "because we don't talk anymore." Then, to make matters worse, he unfollowed the "Back to You" singer on Instagram! Some were sure that it was all a publicity stunt, but Charlie confirmed years later that it was all real.

Whether you're a Bella fan or not, no one can deny that some sketchy sh*t was going on in December 2016 when photos were released of Charlie and Bella getting cozy on a Miami beach... while the actress and her Teen Wolf boyfriend, Tyler Posey, were still supposedly dating!
When Charlie realized he might be at the center of a messy celebrity breakup, he tweeted, "No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I'm not going to be in the middle of it. I don't know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn't be treated this way. She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me."
The Famous in Love star responded by saying, "Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends. That article was written forever ago. Charlie and I were hanging out..he saw an old interview and got butthurt but instead of texting me and asking about it he put it on Twitter." Fiesty!

This was one we never saw coming. Charlie and Glee alum Lea Michele apparently dated in 2017, and it was Charlie himself that spilled the tea!
During an appearance on the Capital Breakfast show, the singer was asked if there were any celebs he's dated that no one knew about. And he revealed that he and Lea had a fling! They went on a few dates, but clearly it wasn't too serious.

When Charlie appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show in fall 2017, he admitted that he was seeing someone. "I'm actually not single right now," he said. "I’m in a relationship, [but] I’m kind of done with dating people in the public."
He tried to keep the identity of his boo private, but of course, sleuthing fans figured out who it was anyway. Speculation started when he commented on one of The Originals actress Danielle Campbell's Instagram pictures. Then, just a couple weeks later, the singer posted a screenshot of a missed FaceTime call. He cropped out most of the name of the person he was calling, but he left enough for fans to decipher that it said Danielle Campbell!
No one really knows how long these two were together, but one thing's for sure: they made a beautiful couple!

Charlie took himself off the market once again when he posted an Instagram picture of himself with Halston Sage in September 2018.
He and the 25-year-old actress stared lovingly into each other's eyes as they posed for the pic, and she even sat on his lap! Then, less than a week later, Charlie posted another photo of him holding hands with a woman. He didn't tag anyone in the pic, but we can only assume that it's his new bae. We're so here for it!
