One of the most beloved children books of all time is coming to the big screen — and Bella Thorne is one of its stars! Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is hitting theaters in October, and the very first trailer was just released.
In case you need a refresher, the book centers on a little boy named Alexander who, well, has a pretty bad day. He gets gum in his hair, trips on a skateboard, and gets told he has a cavity at the dentist — among other things. Well, this big screen version is taking things up a notch because not only does Alexander have a bad day, but his family does as well. And the “terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day” his family has is pretty epic.
And speaking of his family, Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner play his parents, while Scandal‘s Dylan Minette plays his older brother (whose GF is played by Bella). Oh, and Alexander himself will be played by newcomer Ed Oxenbould.
