Wow, what a week for Bella Thorne! First, the former Shake It Up! star turns 17 (today, October 8), then her next film, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, hits theaters (Friday, October 10). Could things get any better?! The answer is yes, they can.

Surprisingly, English wasn't her first language.
"Spanish was my first language, but I don't speak it that much anymore because I had dyslexia and in school they work with you only in English. But I'm proud to be Latina, and most people don't know I am."

Bella's dad passed away in a tragic traffic accident.
In a sad turn of events, Reinaldo Thorne passed away in 2007 just weeks before he was tapped to move to LA to join his family.

Her mama helped out tremendously when she first started in the biz.
With Tamara Thorne being a professional photographer, she's said to have taken many of Bella's early headshots. Think of all the cash they saved!

Among her list of pets is a... WOLF?!
"[Wolves] are known to scare away people in your yard. But Voodoo's like, 'Come here, guys! Let me show you to the door. Come inside!' The funniest thing about having a wolf is that they're so, like, not what you think when you hear, I have a wolf — even though his howl is kinda really scary. Because when he was attacked by two pit bulls, he got his jugular removed. His howl used to be like, 'How-ooooo!' Now it's like, 'Argg-rrrrrr!' It's actually pretty funny when he howls and you're on the phone. I'm like, 'Voodoo! I'm on the phone!' Then he'll go, 'Argg-rrrrrr!' and try to snip at me, but his snips don't hurt. It kind of tickles."

She showed true dedication leading up to Shake It Up!
Since she had zero dance training prior to the Disney Channel show, she took trained 30 hours a week... for six months. Whoa.
