Think about this the next time you’re in traffic: While you may be minorly inconvenienced, someone else could be seriously hurt, so you should be thankful that you’re at least safe in your vehicle. Unfortunately, Bella Thorne didn’t think that through when she tweeted the following during the fatal mudslides in Montecito, California:
“F*ck u 101 to santa barbra. I’m missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:(((“
Yeah… pretty sure the 17 dead people matter more than Mod Sun‘s concert.
Needless to say, the 20-year-old Famous in Love actress got serious flack for her distasteful comment. Actor Rob Lowe, for instance, was quick to slam the star for moaning about traffic when there are more important matters at hand. “This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood,” he wrote on Instagram, regarding Bella’s tweet. “Bella, I’m sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker.”
The Disney Channel alum eventually deleted the problematic post, following up with another tweet:
“F*ck just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down…get home to your family safe.”
And that’s it; no apology or anything. People certainly were not okay with that:
Should’ve apologized under the tweet, not delete it pic.twitter.com/7P386imbr4

Wow, I don't even follow you, but @RobLowe posted your now deleted tweet about the misspelled Santa Barbara and how dare these mudslides keep you from seeing your bfs band. Time for an apology. Read what Rob said first on Instagram. Deleted tweets are forever, Bella.

Some are also wondering how she supposedly didn’t know about the disaster:
I live in HOUSTON and know wtf is going on there! #Ihatestupidpeople

Wtf even I know and I’m from Australia. It’s all over the news here.

And there were others that pointed out that it’s not just about getting home safe; some people don’t even have homes to get to, safely or otherwise:
Does she now think the traffic is because of people driving on the 101 to “get home to their families?” The 101 is a lake right now

“Get home to your family safe” some of them dont have homes to “get to”

THINK BEFORE YOU TWEET, PEOPLE! AND READ/WATCH THE NEWS!
