Bella Thorne’s Boyfriend, Mod Sun, Defends Her After Mudslides Tweet

While hundreds of people were left trying to pick up the pieces after fatal mudslides ripped through Montecito, California, Bella Thorne only had one thing on her mind — traffic.

The 20-year-old wrote on Twitter, “F*ck u 101 to santa barbra. I’m missing my boyfriend’s first date on his tour:(((”

Seeing as 17 people died in the natural disaster that caused the traffic, it makes sense that people were incredibly mad about her tweet. The Famous in Love star deleted the tweet and then wrote a followup, which has also since been deleted. “F*ck just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down…get home to your family safe,” she said.

But the damage had already been done. Actor Rob Lowe got particularly heated by her words and posted a screenshot of the tweet to his Instagram page.

“This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood,” he wrote. “Bella, I’m sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker.”

While BT hasn’t responded to the Code Black actor’s harsh words, Mod Sun, the boyfriend whose concert she missed due to traffic, fired back.

He said in a series of Instagram stories, “Thought yous was cool, man. Out here being whack. It’s quiet as f*ck over here for Rob Lowe. Quiet as f*ck for Rob Lowe. You’re saying, ‘Uhh, this is why people don’t like celebrities.’ So the reason that people SHOULD like celebrities is because you bash someone else? You bullying someone? You trying to publicly make someone look bad? What? It’s just the facts, Jack. These are just the facts, baby. I’m telling the truth. Just be nice to one another, man.”

The 30-year-old also tagged the 53-year-old in the vids.
