Bella Thorne is facing backlash by fans accusing her of getting lip injections after sharing a photo of her “swollen” lips, but insists it was just a bad food reaction.
While making an appearance on the KIIS FM iHeartRadio Jingle Ball red carpet in Los Angeles over the weekend, fans noticed something unusually different about Bella’s appearance. Bells attended the event with her Midnight Sun co-star, Patrick Schwarzenegger, when many noticed that her lips seemed to look slightly larger and fuller than usual.
Many fans weighed in on a photo Bella posted to Instagram from the event, accusing her of trying to look too much like Kylie Jenner, who previously opened up about her decision to get lip injections. The harsh comments attacked Bella’s physical appearance, describing her look as “weird,” “terrible” and “fake.”
But according to Bella, this was actually an allergic reaction she had to something she ate. Earlier the same day, she posted photos of her inflated lips to her Snapchat story, captioning the snap, “I ate something I’m allergic to again.”

She was seen in another Snapchat video, saying, “What am I supposed to do with this thing,” while pointing to her swollen lip. Thankfully, someone got her an antihistamine because her lips seemed to “deflate” a bit in time for the Jingle Ball, however fans aren’t as easily convinced. Can’t a girl catch a break?!
